The Derrick DE-1000 Sub Base centrifuge decanter is delivered on a sub-base intended for fixed installation. The rotating assembly case and all guards are manufactured in stainless steel for long term service life. The centrifuge is driven up to 4,000 rpm by a 50 horsepower motor via a fluid coupling for low amp, soft start. The rotating assembly is coupled to a gear box, fitted complete with a spring loaded torque out assembly with manual reset

Installation
The installation requires the customer to connect all electrical components; torque overload switch, vibration switch, and drive motor. Switches must be interlocked with motor and feed pump for safety shutdown. The sub-base is installed on 5 mounting brackets which must be fixed permanently into the ground or on a steel support structure.
